Creating a positive image

Workshop outline
This workshop teaches participants to understand the impact of image and use it to communicate in a positive way. Participants learn to develop their skills in solving real-life business, work and workplace problems in new and creative ways. The workshop also focuses on how participants can best make and implement decisions based on the innovative thinking they have developed.
Who should attend?
Members of staff who are determined to increase their personal effectiveness and achieve a confident and positive image.
Workshop content
What is image?
A discussion on the individual’s objectives and their aims for the course.
Communication
A definition, the ways we communicate through appearance, behaviour and body language
Problems with image
Raising awareness of what sometimes creates negative images
Making choices and taking responsibility for the messages we want to impart.
Self-esteem and confidence
The importance of how we feel and what we project
Positive communication skills, the importance of understanding assertiveness, handling difficult situations
Looking after yourself, enhancing wellbeing and fitness.
External image
How we look and sound to others, the importance of voice, tone and clarity. Mingling and mixing, tips on how to look confident, especially in group situations
