Programme outline
A follow-up to the Introduction to Facilitation programme for development staff, coaches, and managers who work with learning and development groups.
On this programme, participants will
  • Gain a clear understanding of the importance of facilitation for an individual's learning and development
  • Learn how to design and structure facilitative learning events appropriate to the learner
  • Experience a wide variety of facilitative techniques for development activities
  • Increase their confidence in working with reluctant or resistant learners
  • Have the opportunity of receiving feedback during a practice session

Who should attend?
Individuals who have completed the Introduction to Facilitation programme.
Trainers keen to explore alternatives to presentation-style learning activities.
Coaches and managers looking to develop a participative and owned approach to staff development.

Learning method
The programme has a large element of participation with individuals learning by trying out the issues and techniques. The structure during the two days is flexible in order to give greater emphasis to meeting the particular needs of the group.
