Managing the media – intensive workshop
1.5 days
Workshop outline
With an ever-increasing number of newspapers, magazines, radio stations and TV channels, the demand from the media has never been greater. Journalists and producers are desperate for people to interview so that they can fill their pages or airtime. This practical workshop will give you confidence in facing a microphone or camera. Participants discover how to prepare and practice their own message and learn techniques on how to keep in control even in difficult situations.
Pre-course
Each participant will be asked to prepare work-related topics to form the basis of the interview.
Learning method
This one and a half-day workshop involves lots of practical work. The first session is a half-day workshop with the trainer only. The second session is a full day, concentrating on television work. A two-man camera crew will set up a mini-studio with lights, allowing for instant playback to participants.
