Programme outline
Participants will learn effective proofreading systems. The programme also covers a review of basic language skills, and techniques for improving concentration and reducing eye fatigue.

Staff members whose jobs require proofreading and the accurate transfer of data and information.
Pre-course
Assessments in existing proofreading skills.
Programme content
The programme includes pre and post-workshop assessments to measure improvement in proofreading skills; proofreading exercises using the 3-Phase System; tach exercises and scanning exercises; auditory exercises; language skills exercises.
Participants are taught to detect errors through exercises which train the eye to move in new patterns. There will also be exercises to assess the language skills necessary for a good proofreader. Throughout the programme, participants can evaluate their own performance. A workbook, answer key and reference guide are supplied.
