Workshop outline

A report is an exercise in persuasion. This workshop gives participants the skills to write persuasive and coherent reports. It will help you organise information and, more importantly, communicate powerful ideas to support decision-making.
Participants will learn to:
  • Understand the functional nature of reports
  • Prepare and construct persuasive reports
  • Organise information more efficiently and convincingly
  • Improve their use of language
  • Use a set of objective criteria to evaluate and improve their reports

Pre-course
Participants are invited, prior to the workshop, to send an example of their work to the course leader for initial evaluation.

Learning method
The workshop focuses on addressing individual needs and participants work throughout on their own material. Specifically, they will produce the outline of a 'live' document and receive detailed feedback on any material they submit to the course leader.
