Managing change in employee relations
2 days
Programme outline
The purpose of this programme is to gain an understanding of employee/relations issues within the business and how they can be better addressed, to improve employee relations through a better understanding from each side of its own values and those of the other side, to explore how an approach based upon partnership will be characterised, and to achieve 'buy in' to a model of organisational change which will clarify those options for the future which are available and those which are not.
Key learning points:
- Identify key issues for managers and representatives and produce high-level plans to address them
- Agree a behavioural contract
- Agree a process for monitoring the relationship in the future
Who should attend?
Managers and trade union representatives
Learning method
In the first two sessions, representatives and managers meet separately to consider their issues, values and behaviours and their assumptions about the issues, values and behaviours of the other. All participants come together for the third session to explore how a common purpose can be established, and to consider and resolve any differences. All programmes have the same agenda.
