Safety representatives training

Workshop outline
Safety Representatives and Representatives of Employee Safety (where trades unions are not recognised) have a role defined by law in representing the employees in the process of managing safety. This workshop aims to give them the best possible background for their role and shows them how their functions can be unified into a practical framework for the management of safety in any organisation.
Key learning points:
- A grounding in the technical requirements of safety management, in particular safety law and risk assessment
- Introducing various forms of consultation at work
- Ensuring participants can represent their members or co-workers effectively
Who should attend?
Safety reps, anyone who has or will have safety reps and people who want to consider different ways of managing consultation with people at work.
Learning method
A participative workshop with opportunities to either carry out the techniques learned at the workplace or, if not, exercises based on workplace videos. Case studies.
