Introduction to management

Programme outline
This programme teaches participants practical actions they can take to improve motivation for individuals in their team, effective delegation and the interpersonal skills needed to build constructive relationships in all areas of their job – internal and external. Participants will reach an understanding of the important of quality, managing customer expectations and the financial factors within the role and learn ways to manage induction and training efficiently and effectively. The programme also covers the importance of managing performance and standards to the individuals and the role, and teaches techniques to manage their own and the team’s time.

Who should attend?
Managers and supervisors who have had no previous training, or may be new to the role.

Learning method
This programme is highly participative and uses facilitator input, plenary conversations, group and one-to-one exercises and self-check questionnaires.
